It is sad to say but there was nothing to like about this Motel.
I have to say that in all my travels I have never in my life have experienced the service of such a horrible motel. I do not even understand how these people are still in buisiness. From the minute we tried to check in we experienced only issues. One thing right after another. First at check -in they tell me that the only room available is a room with that does not flush and that they did not have a room for me unless I wanted to take this room. Although I had made a reservation 3 weeks ahead of time. I explained that someone should have notified me that this was the case before I drove 2 hours to get to the hotel. I explained that it was not acceptable to stay in a room that did not have a working toilet. So then a room with an non working ac magically becomes available. Mind you it was over 100 degrees on July 23, 2011 at seaside heights. Since I have no other choice but to take the room or drive all the way back home I agreed to take the room but request that a discount should be made to the price. And they refuse and on top of that there are about an extra $50 dollars worth of service charges added to my online quote. We then get to the room to see that the bathroom is dirty. The Shower doors are broken and the bathroom door is also broken and falling off the hinge. Mind you our towels looked like they had been used to wipe the floor and then folded up and placed back for our use. This review may sound horrible and it still does not even begin to describe how horrible this place was. I was amazed that these people are still opened. Isnt there someone that can shut them down! ?? Stay away. I would not even stay here even if it was free.

The room was clean.. had a/c... the bed was comfortable. The shower pressure is strong..
I booked online for a cheaper room rate.. n when I got there I had to buy a booking fee which wasn't right.. I also requested a smoking room n when I got there they told me the hotel is non smoking... n the pool was dirty...

The condition of the room was horrible. The motel us very run down & is more like a party spot foe beach goers. All though the staff was accommodating, the stai Stained pillows we slept on and the holes in the walls were horrendous. Also I could barely turn the lamp on as it was a mere fire hazard. The light bulb holder was almost cometwly disconnected from the unit with wires hanging out. I will never stay there again! Even the pool was green!!

The location is good since it's walkable to the beach and boardwalk.
The hotel was extremely dirty. There were spiderwebs everywhere even on the door as you enter. The vct flooring is white but filled with dirty and was darker than black. You couldn't walk barefooted on that floor. The room smelled like someone was just smoking in there. The tile wall in the shower still had people's hair and pubic hair still left on it. The water wouldn't go down in the bathroom sink. Just horribly filthy. The room was too dark, no edaquate lighting. The entire room and hotel are in a desperate need of renovation. Even if they do not have the money to renovate now but a simply cleaning once in awile would help or should I say is needed/required. For them, it seems like it is optional. The hotel management were useless and couldn't help with anything and refuse to refund us our money. Do not go there!!! The worst hotel ever!!!!

Do not by any means still in this motel. The price is low but if the health department saw the motel they would be closed down. When I pulled up to the hotel, there was 6 cops there. The motel reaked of curry. There was a condom rapper on the stairs. The shower door was broken off the track. The place was never cleaned. The bed sheets were dirty. There was liquor in the fridge from a previous guest. There is no such thing as house keeping. Overall, the place is by far the nastiest place I've ever seen.

the managers were nice but hardly spoke english, large pool, ac worked good, reasonable price, cable tv was good, had beach passes
the motel is rundown, low water pressure for shower, really far walk to boardwalk, stayed 4days only got 4 towels for the entire stay, the outside furniture was all broke and cracked, didn't tell us they had beach passes avail, stains on the sheets, had auto-closers on room door so it always closed in your face, weird people staying at hotel always sitting in chairs outside of rooms, fridge was full of ice, sliding glass doors were dirty, the toilet seat was very loose,no hangers for your clothes, the door lock was loose

The location is not far from bus stop so you can easily take the bus and go to the Toms River.
The room wasnt clean enought; The neighbors were bothering sometimes; The lock in our door wasnt so fail-safe. The pool wasnt cleared-up.

I didn't like my stay at all. This is not a clean hotel. There's holes in the floors patched up with cardboard and duct tape. No one cleaned our room no clean linen . I had to request clean towels and wash clothes several times before we received them. Sheets were strained . There were used cups in the pool I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone . The name of the hotel wasn't the Travelodge the name is Village Inn

The hotel is in very poor condition. Also, several people loitering in one particular room on the main level while others would stop at the curb and enter the room then leave. This occured throught our entire stay of one night. Seems like some illegal activity to me based on the look of the people entering the room. Will never go back.

The staff was pretty friendly and our room face the pool on the second floor. Since our hotel was a few blocks from the beach they also allowed us to park at a sister hotel that was a couple blocks closer which really helped. They also let us check in two hours early which was kinda nice.
It took us over an hour to find the hotel once we were on the right street. It is extremely poorly labeled and says 'Village Inn' instead of Travelodge. The room only came with one roll of toilet paper and three towels. We found chips right next to the bed so the room obviously wasnt cleaned too well.
